Update, after my initial fiasco of going in store, ordering online, getting an X1 box instead of modem, returning x1, ordering xb8 and getting an XB7, calling 3 times, I went to return the XB7 to my local store and to my surprise, the store had received an unexpected shipment of the XB8. Xfinity is currently rolling out mid-split to all their markets. Some plans will now have 200Mbps upload speeds. To get these faster upload speeds, you currently need Xfinity gateways and you also get unlimited data included.
